What is the basic reference for Agile Systems Engineering? It seems we only have the agile manifesto for software engineering. It basically works for Systems Engineering as well. However, it needs to be adapted as it explicitly addresses software. Thus, it is a target for the critics of Agile Systems Engineering. A basic reference that needs to be adapted first is not a good foundation.
In this presentation, we will have a look on the troubled water and shed light on what an adaptation of the agile manifesto can look like. Together with Arie van Bennekum, co-author of the Agile Manifesto, we have developed a „Foundation for Complex Systems Engineering“ that can become part of the foundation for Agile Systems Engineering.
